The Catholic Distance University (CDU) was the first catechetical institute in the United States to receive official approval from the Vatican Congregation for the Clergy to offer adult education courses in the Catholic Faith and to award the Catechetical Diploma by correspondence or distance learning.  CDU is an accredited school offering college level courses for credit or non-credit.  CDU`s mission calls for transmitting faithfully and systematically the teachings of Sacred Scripture, the living Tradition of the Church and the authentic Magisterium, as well as the spiritual heritage of the Fathers, Doctors and Saints.
